Brand Case Study: Villains and Vengeance

Behind the Scenes

logoVillains and Vengeance, are one of Tick Marketing’s first clients, and we have already written one blog post about them. We have worked closely with Alex (MD) to develop and evolve, with a specific interest in his USP and ability to differentiate the brand. We began our relationship with Villains through a 1-1 brand analysis meeting whereby we thoroughly explored what the brand is, and what it is trying to achieve. From this, and subsequent meetings we have highlighted that the brand is still in need of a story, or is in need of its story being told to people. A brand story will hopefully give customers an understanding of what is driving the company, whilst giving the brand its own personality.

Before today, Villains has operated through ASOS marketplace but today is the day their website goes live. To coincide with this launch, Villains have decided to publish a short piece of content about the brand, and most importantly their brand story.

So go take a look, it will help you understand more about Villains and their personality.

Brand Story

The brand began when a lad called Alex was at the age of 15. He had a job at a local chip shop which his best friend managed to get him and was sacked a month later for messing up 3 bags of chips. Money was short at this point, and he couldn’t keep up with the speed of which fashion was moving.

Villains & Vengeance was set up to prove himself amongst peers on the 27th September 2012. The meaning of the name itself (Villains) represents a troubled up bringing, mistakes made and the lessons that came along with it. Vengeance represents the actions Alex took to prove himself amongst his peers.  Our monochrome selections suggest this dark, villainous side where reasons of actions are unknown and faint. Plain, simplistic and timeless, this collection suggests the mindset of Alex as a young boy.

Our Tribal POP Collection represents, the fun, quirky and spontaneous side of Alex’s personality. Brightly coloured, the tribal twist, carnival styled collection continues to refresh the fun of original fashion sense of style that flows through each and every one of us as individuals.
